Lassen Therapeutics is a therapeutic antibody discovery and development company dedicated to the identification of novel medicines for serious unmet medical needs. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our lab-based team in San Diego.

In this role, you will help advance our therapeutic pipeline in tissue fibrosis, inflammation and oncology. This position will be responsible for developing and conducting in vitro and ex vivo functional and translational assays to understand disease biology and evaluate the efficacy and potency of candidate therapeutic antibodies. You will bring a research background in cell biology, preferably with expertise in inflammation and immunology. You will have experience in cell signaling assays, primary cell culture and human tissue models, and ideally experience with additional techniques such as cell transfection, flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blot, PCR and immunofluorescence microscopy. The position will report to our V.P. of Fibrosis and Translational Biology and be expected to work effectively with limited supervision but within a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in vitro cellular functional and signaling assays using primary mouse and human cells and cell lines to evaluate disease relevant pathways and the cellular activity of candidate therapeutic antibodies against specific targets.
  • Optimize and perform cell signaling, ELISA, immunofluorescence, PCR, protein expression and flow cytometry assays.
  • Produce, maintain, and archive stably transfected cell lines and cells used in functional assays.
  • Design and accurately execute experiments, analyze and interpret experimental results contributing to research program strategies.
  • Develop an expanding technical and theoretical knowledge base in cellular biology and reflecting a growing understanding of the scientific literature.
  • Organize, summarize and present data to supervisor and at project team meetings.
